not sure that it's worth fixing -- people who drag the text area want more space to type in. Its better to allow them to have that extra space then to disable it merely because it makes the layout look bad.

Spam posts will now be completely hidden from non-moderators when viewing a thread. Instead you will see a line at the bottom of the page that says "16 posts not shown on this page because they were spam"

This should solve the problem of seeing a wall of spam when 16 posts in a row get flagged by moderators. For example the general abuse thread right now had 16 spams.

It does not solve the problem of seeing "new 16" on the forum when they are all spam.

backslashes get eaten up when I preview a post, but not when I actually post - e.g. if I type \b and preview it, I see b, but when I post for real, I see \b
