Inspiration & Reference
I just wanted to know if people had any links to good websites for either level design inspiration (photos, paintings, concept art, etc.) or just for architectural reference. We had a thread like this on the old qmap, but we know how much good that does us.

Well...
go map?! ;)

When a dog is chasing a car, it's more fun when he doesn't get to sink his teeth into the rear bumper.

Fun for who, though?

Textures: http://www.davegh.com/index.php/en/

Go use them.

You'll want to cock around with the colours/brightness/contrast as they will be too washed-out for quake as-is.
SM177 - Washed Out Theme.

oh yeah, i remember those from like 10 years ago. I love the hand-painted style. They'd probably lose all their character at quake resolution, but if you packaged them as high-res replacements i think they'd work well.

Decreasing the brightness a bit and increasing the contrast and I am sure you can get it looking fine.
Nice..
There are really interesting things on this website... nice finding

I went on a twitter rampage posting pictures from that book a while back: https://storify.com/joel_k_baxter/snippets-from-paolo-soleri-s-arcology

Doctorow's photos are pretty good quality though!

If you want to get higher-quality versions of my pictures, then I occasionally have them sitting in my public Dropbox: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11690738/temp/arcology.zip
Cool Thx!
