See title. It's not rocket science is it. Obviously some people's will be their own names or variants thereof, but others I suspect will be more interesting.

Me: Shambler, simple, favourite monster from Quake, I got into gaming and all this from Quake SP.

Anagram
I was mapping my first level of the abandon in 98 and made a new texture in Quake. It had to be a airbrush like in real world on walls, and having just a new Wacom drawing device I could sprite one.

Having nothing else in mind than the anagram:
the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
I brushed a piece madfox.

Playing Quake often feels like a mad in a fox hole.

you needed nicks for the descent profile, and all the other guys had these cool, english sounding nicks. this was the first that came to my mind (i think i had played the game once, but really wasn't thinking of it). that must've been me being around 10-12 :o
My Name
plus its a palindrome!
Vondur
from icelandic
1. (illur) bad, evil
2. (reiur) angry, mad
Negative Kinetic Energy

Lol Mike Wtf
do a google search for kona carmack. yes, yes, i actually nicknamed myself after a playboy model, and not even a hot one. to make it worse, she actually married the shrivelled up hugh hefner. brackets added for extra effect. i'm an idiot.

i actually only use this nickname in gaming, everywhere else i use razzzor, which came from the wrestler razor ramon / scott hall.
My Username
is the name of my user.

nakasuhito is just meaningless gibberish :)

and i finally registered the name too!

dunno why i post here. i love quake maps and seeing screenshots of the ones you guys are working on, but for some reason i can never finish one myself.

maybe i should post screenshots of the heretic/doom ones i do have finished and sometimes work on.
Efdat Derives From...
#1 the greedy fat dude (like i was back then)
#2 greedy f_dude (to fit the quake hud)
#3 ef - dat (as pronounced by r.m. with an horrible german accent)

that's how the story goes =)
I First Used
this nick originally in Ultima V. It doesn't really come from anywhere. My friend played a while and climbed down some holes in a dungeon and saved the game - only one save slot in ultima V and the game was lost. Had to do a new character, zambuz, but he sucked. So I made a new bambuz. Been stuck with it since. (And I still haven't finished Ultima V, great game though, I just lost my notes back then and it's impossible to advance without them.)
Wraa
From a cartoon figure of a game magazine. Means a bat in Estonian. Actually just Nahkhiir, I don't know why I put the extra a in the middle (later I found out that nahkahiir means a whore in Estonian but I decided to keep my nick because I had used it for years already).
Heh

Sean Campbell is my real name, Scamp was a natural shortening, adding the '-ie' for effect.

The shrimp connection never crossed my 13 year old mind.

Back in the DooM days I was known as Creed on DWANGO. I was big into comic books and used Sabretooth's 'real' name. I stuck with Creed through Quake etc until the lame band came around then switched to AEnoch or noch. I've stuck with it ever since.
Sweet
this is a cool thread, dunno why I haven't read it before.

When I was a kid I played Catacombs Abyss. I was also a bit OCD, with categorization, logic, making sure all the floor tiles lined up, etc (kind of like Spirit now - JK your archiver/categorizer impulse is one of THE top contributions to Q1 and modding in general in two decades). Anyway, I started imagining my own fantasy world early on, and I wanted there to be five "sizes" of humanoid being: gnomes (tiny), dwarves (a bit bigger), humans (normal sized), ogres (like 7 ft tall) and GIANTS (like 10 feet tall). On the opposing side: a civilization (yes, I know this is contradictory) of "monsters": Goblins, Orcs, Tronyns, Trolls, and Titans. They were five races just like the human five races, and with the same scale, except they were on the other side of the Human-Tronyn war. Btw Goblin wasn't the real name of the smallest type of Green Race (since the non-human races were all green or grey, as inspired by the Orcs and Trolls in catacombs), but I forgot the name I did give them - and shit, as one sad-ass packrat of the mind I wish I still knew it.

So basically, I am a 10 year old's vision of a green non-human in a fantasy world who lives in a dungeon and is bound to fight against "human aggression." lol not much has changed!

i totally ripped off that guy who made music for unreal.

Name I used playing ut2k3 on my university LAN. Is supposed to be OverZealousQuakeFan but that's too long for various games and websites :p
My Initials With An Underscore At The End.

I'm another one of those boring "it's just my initials" people. I think I've been using it since I was 5 or 6, when I noticed that you could stack the "M" on top of the "H" (or draw a horizontal bar between the legs of the "M") and I thought it looked awesome.

These days I just use lowercase because I was too lazy to hold down the shift key once and the habit stuck.
Lower Case
w

i dont remember why or where or how i got it. and i only use it here, so its even stranger when i think about it. usually i use benoski or benoskanov.

i always post here when i'm sleepy too, so maybe that had something to do with it, and that might explain why my posts are so shit.

holy shit, i even posted on a few posts above! man, i must have alzheimer's or some shit. :D
