not to be a threadshitter...but I've been trying to figure out why there is always an inverse relationship between the number of screenshots posted and the visual quality of the map.

I'd like to comment on the gameplay but sadly I don't play Q2DM. 
 
When you think that out of the billions of years the universe has existed, and the infinity of time stretching before us, and the fact that we only get to experience a handful of moments of it I have to wonder what kind of hell he is going to for taking up moments of our existance 
 
To elaborate on the above post: you seem to have neglected to provide working links to these images.

but it is a bit odd that they are on an FTP site. Maybe some browsers don't like that. 
 
What engine are those shots taken in? I thought it was Software until I noticed the coloured lighting. :\
