His perspective looks a bit off on the Coliseum. :D
(Great sketching otherwise.)

I don't want the detail, I don't want the high resolution. I just want atmospheric fog.
Leave everything else at blocky Quake resolution and limits and give me glowing layers of fog.

I can upload a huge collection of of his work (admittedly with some duplicate entries) if people are interested.

My barlowe & beksinski folder is an unlabelled mess, that's my bad.

Beksinski is boner inducing stuff ... I have a few of his art books but I'd love to take a look at what you've got if you can host it somewhere.
Hope There's Some New Stuff There For You

2nd album has a bunch of dupes and non Beksinski but its still pretty neat stuff so I saw no reason not to include it.

Kuksi is similar to giger/beksinski. I had a bunch of dark surreal art similar to these artists bookmarked somewhere.

beksinski is like if giger were into images of religion and war-torn poland instead of spacedicks

So, googling for the answer just throws up unhelpful rubbish so I'll ask here.
Here is a picture of part of Csesznek Castle in Hungary. See those wooden beams just sticking out of the walls, making it look like a gritty, next-gen version of KerPlunk?

My question is: what the heck are those beams for, and is this an architectural feature that has a name?

I have a few guesses.
Could be simple rafters for some kind of awning. Or, could be reinforcing whatever interior structure's going on in there (like maybe a staircase?). OR, could be the remnants of a hourde:
Scroll down to Hourdes
Also check out that cute picture of the dude sittin on the beam with a hammer.

Post #32474 has a passage about the tower (beginning with 'A falszoros dlkeleti...'). It says the beams used to hold a hourde, as NarNar has guessed. The aricle was written by the author and has not been published (yet).
