 7:40 AM -- Can't Sleep
#6240 posted by Blitz on 2004/11/30 07:51:39
It's 7:40 AM and I can't sleep...so I'll take this time to just kinda thank all the cool people who are still around.
I hope I can count on you guys to stick around for a while, I think we have a pretty nice thing going around here...sometimes people drop off the face of the earth, but I hope you all stay as long as you possibly can. Ignore me when I'm being stupid (as I'm sure you do anyway) and take this as being the genuine Blitz.
Much love to those who have been around since I've been here (in no particular order)
metl, pope, inertia, RPG, Shamb, scampie, Spog, Auhsan, nano, czg, Friction, biff, Vondur, speedy, monsto, CardO, Daz, Fatty, Dietz, Aard, pjw, distrans, Kell, Kinn, necros, push, and anyone else I am forgetting in this sleep deprived state.

Zwiffle, Lun, Jago,
Zwiffle I don't think you've been around since I joined though...not that I don't like the new people, it's just that the older members put up with alot of my crap and general lameness from back in the day. So <3 to the new people who never knew anyone but the awesome me.

Blitz is gay, lock up your arses everyone. (Except RPG)
Cool though, glad you still appreciate being part of this, I still do, it's good having a familiar community.

After some scouting, I had actually managed to find a site that had all 5 of my Unreal SP projects avaible for download. I guess my 5 Unreal DM maps are lost for good though (although only the last one was somwhat interesting). I guess that after I am done with my 2 current projects (Q1SP 1000b dkt'ish map and and Q1SP ikbase/speedbase map) I should make myself a new website for my maps.

What are the names, (zip file name) of the Unreal DM maps you are looking for. Even though I threw all my Unreal and UT stuff in the bin some months ago, I would still have heaps of CD's with mixed contents that would still contain nearly everything I downloaded for the Unreal series of games (just not gathered together in one place). I am planing on going through all my old CD's before I throw them away (spring clean), and gathering anything I want to keep and burning it to DVD's. It would be no trouble while I am at it to check out any Unreal folders on the CD's, and if I have what you seek I could send them to you. Keep in mind though, that this won't happen until xmas/New year
 The Half Life 2 'Surprise'
#6253 posted by VoreLord on 2004/12/01 01:56:09
Well I guess it wasn't really a surprise, as most people probably assumed that Deathmatch/Multiplayer, was going to be the 'surprise' that Valve promised along with the release of the SDK.

I "think" they were named "dnudm" 1 through 5 or "dmudn" 1 through 5. Some of the "actual" map names are Devil's Playground, Nekkid Violence, Mindless Destruction and Castle Madness. Yes, I would very much appreciate if you looked for them.

I might have some of those, I'll have to try and find my really old CDS with zipped older games stuff.

Yes, I'll try to do that^^. Just take a look at http://www.quakeblog.de.vu to read my first review "Numb Nimbus" by czg (thx for this map!). I would be pleased if you would support my experiment of releasing one "5-lines-map-review" every single day till X-Mas. Maybe you could write a review too?

I would do one only if I could write it as a limerick.

Sure, would be some nice variety, wouldn't it? You're welcome to write however you want to;)

There once was a mapper named Gove
( I'll just follow his suggestion above )

 Yay The Limericks Are Back!

His first was another sensation:
he named it Penile Devastation
While this seems quite obtuse
it was just an excuse
for an oversized phallic creation
Yaay I'm Already Out Of Ideas Yaay
#6262 posted by Lunaran on 2004/12/01 18:40:20
We discuss this to death in the channel
but I think it means Gove likes the anal
You'll think this is crap
but why else would the map
sport so many of those gaping wind tunnels?
 LOL

Thanks for those, guys. :D
