I prefer the lighting of the original Doom in those shots. Pitch black shadows are sooooooo last year.

Ok, I came up with more than a few domains for when I begin hosting Quake 1/2/3 mappers. Which do you think?
- omgquake.com
- daquake.com
- quakemappers.com
- quaked.com
- qrackheads.com
- quakeit.com
- quakefiends.com

I'm thinking 2000 MB, 125 GB bandwidth ($100/year) or 3000 MB, 250 GB bandwidth ($200/year) should do well enough for hosting. I am really enjoying the idea - NO FILEPLANET!

Your download layout needs some help, it's quite uncategorized - just filenames :|

at the QExpo, he has a height field renderer added into a Quake engine. There is even a little FitzQuake in the code:
//if (trace.ent->v.solid == SOLID_BSP) //johnfitz -- no sliding on entity bboxes

I know, it's just temporary. I'm working on some other download system at the moment. It is much better!

Socket A Cooling

So I figured out I am in need of a new heatsink/cooler for my old computer. The CPU is an AMD TBird 1400 and the motherboard is Gigabyte GA-7DXR. It was running way too hot before (65c idle, 70c+ under load) and was constantly crashing so I had to underclock it to 1050 Mhz (idle temps dropped to 57c, load temps are around 60 now) to make it stable. However this is just a workaround and I need a proper solution for the overheating. So what would be the recommended heatsink/cooler for my setup?

Put the computer in a sack, throw the sack in a river, and HURL the river into space!

Getting tech support from you is kind of like getting auto repair tips from this guy:

If you see an unknown post on the PQ forums that has your nick, it's me. I'm not sure how that happened but I seem to use a login that somehow originates from you, possibly from a GameSpy id. Sorry.

spawnpoint has 125gb of bandwidth a month and a HD space of about 2.5gb. I find that ample for my current hosted sites, but have found myself go over the bandwidth limit once and awhile due to some jackasses downloading a huge file multiple times in 1 day.
Just thought the info would let you make a better choice. Be sure to check their policy/cost of bandwidth per GB over.

i dont know if they're any good but their prices look awesome
also, globat (which func is hosted on) is really super slow it seems, so even with their good prices, i would suggest not buying their services :/
