 Empty Titles Don't Like Me

While I admit to having warezed the vast majority of the games I've played, some games simply MUST be owned legally and Quake is one of them. I had originally purchased a pirate Quake CD in Russia for like 1$, but in 2001 I purchased an official boxed set from Activision containing Quake and both Mission Packs. The artwork on the box is absolutely kickass.

Necros, probly cause your isp doesn't own enough ips for all the people on their network, they don't expect everyone to be online at once anyway, so they have it set to reset your ip more often so ppl. who aren't online don't waste an ip.
It's one of those annoying policies/business models that hasn't been changed since 56k was hi-tech.

Not really, no. But if you're not running servers it probably won't hurt you too much.

NAT is. Users of certain ISPs here have severe difficulties connection to (for example) IRC servers, because they all seem to originate from ONE external IP address. Evil.

If you can find the time to utter the words:
!clvl scampie -1000
and
!kb *!*@ravensoft.com
or similar, that would bring peace and harmony to the world.
P.S. Go map.

screw the berfilterbackgrounds and go for artists like http://www.goodbrush.com (craig mullins), http://www.cafesale.net/bengal/index.php3 (bengal) and http://www.sparth.com/ (sparth=nunuk)or some other cool digitalartists.

Artist brush work is annoying in its mannerism. Too much thick clumping as an 'arty' effect. It could be cleaner. Much cleaner.
Good sense of form, but another common mannerism is to allow light, color and shadow to obscure form in unrealistic ways and that I see it here in spades.
 Sparth,

Now that is pretty decent work. Clean lines. Good lighting and atmosphere. One niggle, but almost all modern artist do it. Some pics (ie. http://www.sparth.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=17&pos=11) have big splatches of shadow in the forground. I would rather see the shadow softened or placed at a more stark angle so the ships form is not obscured.
But I like.
 NAT Chat Fix
#5940 posted by [Jimbo] on 2004/10/27 23:18:06
Yes NAT does appear to be more evil,
as an ex-server admin I hated dhcp as well.
Nat fix:
get tor
http://www.freehaven.net/tor/
point your irc, aim etc. through there using
socks5 (or socks 4 with privoxy) works for me
on my college net.
or find a free proxy server somewhere and use that instead.
www.samair.ru/proxy has a list
:)

So I actually read the Doom3 SDK's EULA, which has certain provisions for mods and stuff (the New Creations). This stood out.
The New Creations shall not be downloaded or otherwise exported or re-exported into (or to a national or resident of) any country to which the United States has embargoed goods or to anyone or into any country who/that are prohibited, by applicable law, from receiving such property.
I'm probably going to have to add a click through in the installer when I'm done with Byz to verify that the player is not Cuban or a towelhead.
